Jaydee Bixby has released "Boy Inside the Man", a remake of the Tom Cochrane classic hit. It's the first single to be released off Jaydee's sophomore album "Easy To Love" which will hit store shelves this spring.
"This is one of my favorite Tom Cochrane songs," says Bixby, "I am so honored to have Tom's support in recording and releasing it."
As a supporter of Bixby's music career, Cochrane took the time to revamp the song to make it more relevant to Bixby's age.
Cochrane says he's thrilled that Jaydee has chosen this song and is excited to see it re-enter Canada's music charts. And re-enter it has!! The single debuted Top 50 BDS in its first week of release and is showing strong signs of being another Top 10 smash for Bixby.
The single is also Jaydee's first release on his new label On Ramp Records/EMI Music Canada, where he joins a stellar cast of label mates including Shane Yellowbird, Aaron Lines, Deric Ruttan, Victoria Banks, and Brad Johner.
In only two years since his runner-up win on season five of Canadian Idol, nineteen-year-old Bixby has carved out an impressive career in the Canadian country music scene. His debut album Cowboys and Cadillacs was released in July 2008, and his first single "Old Fashioned Girl" went to #10 media base at country radio and #9 at CMT. This was followed with three more singles and a Christmas hit. His first CD shipped scanned over 20,000 units making Bixby one of the top selling Canadian country artists of the last two years.
