Ambassador for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Sudbury. After attending an event where members of the agency stood up and took turns sharing their stories of how the agency has impacted their lives, Larry with the support of his wife stepped up to take on the role of Ambassador for the organization. Larry and his wife were touched to hear the emotional stories shared by single parents, children and volunteers of Big Brothers Big Sisters.  The mentoring programs develop caring, self-confident children and teens who learn to make positive choices and go on to become caring, self-confident adults. The result is happier children today and stronger families and communities tomorrow. As the Ambassador, Larry filmed a commercial that continues to be aired across Northern Ontario on CTV to raise awareness and recruit volunteers for the 70 children on the waiting list. Larry recently helped organize an event sponsored by Cranky Joe’s for over 80 children, parents and volunteers to enjoy a pizza party and early screening of Rock Town. A large group photo was taken with the Rock Town Truck. The highlight of the afternoon was when an 11 year old boy stood up and personally thanked Larry with these words “I beleive that Big Brothers Big Sisters is a valuable asset to Greater Sudbury because they change many children’s lives in a profound and meaningful way. You Mr. Berrio are showing us how much you care about us and you believe in us too”
