Shane Yellowbird was presented the Country Recording of the Year award at the Eleventh Annual Native America Music Awards Saturday night.
Following his performance on stage (backed by the legendary Eagle and Hawk Band), which featured music from his soon to be released sophomore album, Shane accepted the award for his debut album, Life is Calling My Name.
Now in it's eleventh year, the N.A.M.A. has recognized accomplished native American artists in this celebratory and critically acclaimed musical event.
"It's a great honor to receive this award," commented Yellowbird. "The Native American Music Awards recognize musicians from both Canada and the US which makes up a large pool of talent so to be recognized by the association and all that individuals who vote is truly appreciated."
