Shane Yellowbird Nominated for Two Native American Music Awards

Shane Yellowbird is among the nominees for the 11th annual Native American Music Awards.

Yellowbird's debut album "Life Is Calling My Name" was nominated Best Country Recording while his music video of the same name is a contender for the Best Short or Long Form Music Video.

"I'm really honored to be nominated," expressed Yellowbird. "These awards recognize artists throughout the United States and Canada so it's great to be nominated from such a large pool of great talent."

Public voting will determine the winner in each category. Ballots can be cast by visiting the Awards websites; www.nativeamericanmusicawards.com. 

The 11th Annual Native American Music Awards will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at the Seneca Entertainment Center in the Seneca Casino & Hotel in Niagara Falls, New York. The Awards ceremony will be hosted by Gil Birmingham who has received recent public acclaim for his portrayal as Billy Black in Twilight.
